Rooted & Restored
About Us
We are so glad that you are here! As friends and therapists, we have come together in a shared dream. We have both desired to create a space where people can truly rest, reconnect with who they are, and be renewed in order to live in their purpose.
Rooted & Restored is a step into this prayer and vision — we are truly honored to welcome you in.

OLIVIA SHORT
Licensed Art Therapist, LPAT, ATR-BC
Olivia’s greatest passions are people, creativity, and the great outdoors. She cares deeply about people and the stories they carry — where they have been, and how it has shaped them. Blending evidence-based guidance, creativity, faith, life experience, and lots of laughter, Olivia loves to hold space for others to get curious, dig deep, and live well in their purpose.
When Olivia is not in the office, you could find her on a run outside, losing track of time while creating, or spending quality time around a table with family and friends. She loves good food, dancing to live music, and always down for a spontaneous sweet treat.
Creating space for others to feel seen and known is her desire — and she can’t wait to do that through this retreat.

CRISSY GASPAR
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
Crissy is passionate about helping people find freedom and peace through both biblical truth and practical mental health tools. She believes that faith and psychology work beautifully together, and she loves creating spaces where people can be real, laugh freely, and grow in grace.
Crissy has been married to her wonderful husband, Gerald, for 30 years, and they are now enjoying the“empty nest” season. When Crissy is not in the office you can usually find her listening to music, watching a good Korean drama, or spending time with friends and family. She loves pizza, thrifting and a good cup of coffee.
Hosting retreats like this one is one of her greatest joys — a chance to connect deeply, share God’s truth, and remind each other that we are not alone.
special guest: Culinary & wellness expert

JULIE MAJORS
Julie will be joining Rooted & Restored as the culinary and wellness expert for the weekend!
In 2004, after years of infertility, Julie was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. That set her on a journey to learn about properly fueling her body with nutrient dense foods. Over twenty years later, Julie still wakes up thinking about food. Making nutritious meals is one of her favorite hobbies and her husband says she can't make the same meal twice, even if she calls it the same.
The food for this weekend will be from scratch with ingredients your great grandmother would recognize (no seed oils, high fructose corn syrup or food dyes!). If you want to spend your January indulging on warm, buttery sourdough bread, Julie will be there to make your dreams come true.
